All Manchester United fans are saying the same after former transfer target Marko Arnautovic scored a goal for Bologna in Serie A on Sunday.

Last week, it was reported that the Red Devils were in talks to sign the former Stoke City striker to lead their offensive line, as Cristiano Ronaldo seeks to move away from the club.

The move was met with mockery from the fans at the time, who were stunned the club was making a move for the 33-year-old Austrian.

That forced the big wigs at Old Trafford to abandon talks after a backlash from fans, as well as a distance in the assessment with the Serie A side over the transfer fee.

On Saturday, United fell to an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Brentford.

After 35 minutes, they were behind in front of the Bees – with Ronaldo failing to make any impact up front.

And just a day after that modest loss, Arnautovic showed the United fans what they missed by scoring for Bologna against Lazio with a penalty kick.

However, his shot wasn’t enough to win the match against Lazio – the Greyhounds lost 2-1 at Stadio Olimpico.

That did not bother United fans, who wished Arnautovic would now be in their squad.

Mikias took to Twitter and wrote: “Yes, please bring Marko Arnautovic before another team signs him.”

Amos Murphy: “The weekend at Manchester United is getting worse Marco Arnautovic Sign for Bologna.

While Kirkby wrote: “Manchester United fans, look away now. Marco Arnautovic He scored for Bologna after 38 minutes of the new Serie A season.

Arnautovic himself gave a speech in front of the hosting file at a press conference after today’s match.

He said, “The market is the market.”

“I’ve been in the world of football for many years and I know there could be clubs interested during the transfer window, but for now I’m focusing on Bologna.”
