And they’ve secured a huge boost by including Chilwell, along with first-team counterparts Karne Chukwuemeka, Ethan Ampadu and Trevoh Chaluba, according to Evening Standard.

England star Chilwell missed much of last season with a knee injury he picked up in the Champions League match against Juventus in December.

But the 25-year-old was quite smiling when he returned to pre-season training with Chelsea this summer.

However, Chilwell still lacks the match fitness required to play alongside his senior teammates in the Premier League.

So Thomas Tuchel, the Blues coach, allowed the full-back to be given some much-needed time playing with the club’s youth.

The same goes for Chukwimica, the new Chelsea boy who joined the club for £20m from Aston Villa in this transfer window.

The 18-year-old has yet to appear at the Blues Prime, so delving into a run against the Young Cotaigers will keep him fresh.

The Blues star Ampadu has failed to break into the Chelsea first team so far, but he plans to change what Chalobah did last season.

Khloba was a revelation for the blues in the previous campaign.

The youngster was an unused substitute, along with Chilwell, in the Blues’ fierce 2-2 draw against Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.

The pair had a perfect view of coach Tuchel’s touchline, who clashed with Tottenham boss Antonio Conte after the match.

It was expected that Callum Hudson-Odoi would join them on the development team.

However, it has been added that it is nearing completion of a loan transition away from Stamford Bridge.

SunSport reported last week that Borussia Dortmund was leading the race to sign him, although Standard claimed Leicester and Southampton are also contenders.
