Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Wesley Fofana – who Chelsea is interested in – will not travel to Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Chelsea made a third bid of £70m for the 21-year-old which Leicester turned down.
The Leicester boss also revealed that the defender is still training with the U23 squad after skipping the first team session last week.
Leicester hold £85m for the promising half.
When asked if they expect another offer from Chelsea, Rodgers replied that his focus is on the current players he has acquired.
He said: “He won’t be available this weekend and he has trained with the U23 team.
“I’m not sure, my focus is on the players we have, the team, and I can’t lose my energy.
“If something is done it will be done with the clubs.
“Until that happens, we just have to work with what we have.”
Fofana joined Leicester from Saint-Etienne in 2020 for £31.5 million.

In his first season with the club, he played 28 matches in the English Premier League.
A fibula fracture means he missed most of the 2021/22 season.
Fofana regained his fitness at the start of the new season, playing the full 90 against Brentford and Arsenal.
But he was left out of the team that lost 2-1 to Southampton.
He also missed the Carabao Cup match against Stockport that secured Leicester’s place in the next stage.
