International Chamber of Commerce President Sourav Ganguly believes the standoff between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is just another game, but believes that if the pressure starts to build, the Indian team knows how to deal with it.
Ahead of the August 28 Asian Cup match between the two sides, the reinforcements were huge as always. The last time the two teams met was in the 2021 T20 World Cup where Pakistan won 10 wickets.
“India vs Pakistan match is just another match. Those who play regularly or when I was playing, I didn’t consider Pakistan any special match. In knockout matches there is extra pressure. But nothing like that. “
“Rohit SharmaAnd Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are all experienced players. They know how to handle pressure. It’s not a big issue for them‘,” Ganguly told India Today.
Speaking of Kohli’s poor run, Ganguly was hoping to get back into shape for a compensating hitter.
“Virat is a very great player. He has his own formula for running. He will be back soon. We are all optimistic.”
“No one is a favorite in T20 cricket” – Sourav Ganguly
Sourav Ganguly said that India is going through a big stage and their first match will be against Pakistan. He thought picking a favorite in a checkered format like the T20 was tricky, though.
“India is a good team. Indian cricket does very well in all aspects. India won in Australia, India won in England, and India won in the West Indies. I hope India will also do well in the upcoming World Cup finals. “
“Nobody is a favorite in T20 cricket. So everyone is fine. Those who play well will win,“He is done.
