Chainsaw Man Trailers: Every teaser released so far
Two Chainsaw Man main trailers have been released so far. The first movie (which you can watch above) was released in June 2021 and is so mysterious, you’ll be forgiven at first sight that it’s part of an animated series. The trailer features many serene cityscapes and mundane household scenes, with protagonist Dingy even hanging out with his friends on the beach. Then, things take an action-packed turn: giant dogs, sword fights, and chainsaw slaughter all fueled by ominous accelerating sounds.
The latest Chainsaw Man trailer from August, which you can see above, focuses more on the story of the anime. Denji is seen struggling for his new life, that of an titular sawman who could turn into a demon. Another character with a huge presence in this trailer is the red-haired Makima – whose intentions seem outrageous but are unknown. The latitude with each trailer is clear: expect action, buckets of blood, and plenty of skin-crawling demons that get in the way of a dingy.
A Chainsaw Man’s Story: What is a Chainsaw Man, Anyway?
Trackman is a story about Dingi, a destitute boy who lives with a demon-like dog named Pochita in a world where demons are created from human fears. Inspired by the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the series follows Denji on his adventures to collect demon corpses. However, he is soon killed – not a spoiler, honest – and enters into a pact with Pochita to be revived as “The Chainsaw Man”.
While that’s the basic premise, the first ‘Public Safety’ arc sees him unite with Public Safety’s demon hunters to hunt down, you guessed it, the demons of the world. But Denji has an ace up his sleeve: he’s able to transform into a chainsaw man – with chainsaws replaced by arms and legs – by pulling the rope across his chest. He’s joined by Makima, the head of Public Safety 4, and fellow hunters swordsman Aki and the traditionally-like force.
The first season will adapt the Public Safety arc, although it is not known if it will cover all of the entire 97 seasons. if it DoExpect it to hit around 26 episodes, though the official number hasn’t been confirmed at the time of writing.
