Reports say Nottingham Forest will sign former Tottenham defender Serge Aurier on a one-year deal.
Aurier, 29, joined Villarreal on a free transfer from Tottenham last October, but was limited to just 19 La Liga games due to numerous injuries.
He was released by the Spanish side when his contract expired in June and has since failed to find another club.
However, he may now be ready to return to the Premier League.

Aurier, who made 77 Premier League appearances during his four-year spell with Tottenham, will become Forrest’s 17th signing this summer.
Steve Cooper made him a move target after Omar Richards, who signed in the summer, sustained a hairline fracture in his leg during a pre-season friendly.
Forrest coach believes the Ivory Coast international will bring much-needed experience to the team.

Nottingham Forest are also in talks to sign coveted midfielder Houssem El Aawar from Lyon.
Club officials have already agreed personal terms with the Frenchman but have yet to conclude a deal with the Ligue 1 giants.
Cooper is also pushing to sign Neil Maupai from Brim Grim Brighton.
The striker has fallen into the offside rankings at Amex with Graham Potter favoring Danny Welbeck at No. 9, so he’s open to a move away.
